Ordinance Adding a Definition for Sustainable Housing and Carports

1) Staff Report; 2) Entertain questions of Staff from the City Council 3) Open Public Hearing; 4) Take public testimony from those favor; 5) Take public testimony from those opposed; 6) Take public testimony from those in a neutral position; 7) Close the Public Hearing; 8) City Council discussion; and 9) Introduce for First Reading and read by title only the attached Ordinance: "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Desert Hot Springs 1) Amending Section 17.04.050 "Definitions" to Add a Definition for Sustainable Housing; 2) Amending Section 17.48.040 "Number of Parking Spaces Required" for Newly Constructed Single- Family Dwellings Located Within a Registered Homeowner's Association; and 3) Amending Table 17.48.060 to Add Attached Carports for Sustainable New Single-Family Residential Developments."

Approve Staff recommendation amending the ordinance to reflect that carport layouts shall not be tandem.
