Award of Construction Project and Approval of First Amendment to Funding Agreement with Riverside County for the Line C-1 Storm Drain Project, City Project 6003

1) Award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder, WEKA, Inc.; 2) Authorize the City Manager to draft and execute the construction agreement for Line C-1 Storm Drain, City Project No. 6003, with WEKA, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $6,392,369.00 with a 10% contingency of $639,236.90, bringing the total amount to $7,031,605.90; and approve a total project budget in an amount of $8,018,026.00 for additional project expenses for construction management, inspection and materials testing; and 3) Authorize the City Manager to execute the First Amendment to Funding Agreement for Desert Hot Springs MDP-Line C-1, Stage 1, Project No. 6-0-00034 with Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District.
