Recommendation to the City Council to Adopt an Ordinance Regarding Cannabis Nurseries

1) Staff Report; 2) Entertain questions of Staff from the Planning Commission; 3) Open the Public Hearing; 4) Take public testimony for those in favor; 5) Take public testimony for those opposed; 6) Take public testimony for those in a neutral position; 7) Close the Public Hearing; 8) Planning Commission discussion and; 9) Recommend to the City Council to adopt: "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Desert Hot Springs, California Adding Section 5.50.130 "Nursery Operating Requirements" and Amending Section 5.50.020 "Definitions" of Chapter 5.50 "Cannabis Businesses" of Title 5 "Business Licenses and Regulations" and Adding Section 17.180.095 "Nursery" and Amending Section 17.180.030 "Definitions" of Chapter 17.180 "Marijuana Facilities Operation and Location" of Title 17 "Zoning", and Amending Section 3.34.005 "Imposition of Tax" of Chapter 3.34 "Marijuana Tax" of Title 3 "Revenue and Finance", and Amending Section 3.37.005 "Imposition of Tax" of Chapter 3.37 "Medical Marijuana Tax" of Title 3 "Revenue and Finance" and Amending Section 17.16.01 "Permitted Uses- Industrial Districts" of Chapter 17.16 "Industrial Districts" of Title 17 "Zoning" of the Desert Hot Springs Municipal Code of the Desert Hot Springs Municipal Code."

Approve Staff recommendation with the condition that the ordinance be re-written as per the California Style Manual.
