Recommendation
1) Staff Report; 2) Entertain questions of Staff from City Council; 3) Open the Public Hearing; 4) Take public testimony; 5) Close the Public Hearing; 6) City Council discussion and questions to Staff; and 7) Introduce for first reading and read by title only: "An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Desert Hot Springs, California, amending Chapter 5.50 "Marijuana Facilities Regulatory Permit" of Title 5 "Business Licenses and Regulations" of the Desert Hot Springs Municipal Code in order to update regulations for marijuana facilities."

Approve the first reading of the Ordinance amended as follows: 1) Section 5.50.070 be amended to reflect that a cannabis facility may contract through a properly regulated private security company which private company complies with all State law requirements, including those of the Bureau of Cannabis Compliance ; and 2) that odor control regulations be placed under a separate ordinance for further discussion.
