Benefits and limits
$1,750 - $3,500
Full requirements
For California residents buying or leasing their first battery-electric or fuel-cell vehicle through a participating manufacturer or its authorized sales channel; plug-in hybrids do not qualify. Previous ownership or leasing shown on an electric vehicle's title or registration, including outside California, can disqualify a buyer. The discount must be offered at the time of sale and is not retroactive; manufacturer participation, eligible models, new-versus-certified-used offers and price limits vary. Confirm the specific manufacturer's live offer and sign the required self-attestation at purchase; the program is limited to one incentive per individual.
